A little information for me please.
I finally have my smithy set up with my forge, a 6 1/2 " vise, anvil, and a table grinder as my main hardware. What more do I need to invest in?
Thanks for any info you can provide!

Thanks Ray, those are at my disposal, but what about other power tools and such?

Hard to say without knowing how you plan to make your knives. No matter what, you'll eventually want a 2x72" grinder - even if you forge blades you'll still need to finish grind them. A metal bandsaw is very useful, and a drill press is a must have. Lots of other things are nice but those are the essential power tools....

I have a scroll saw that I use to cut my scales, also a belt/disk sander.

A side grinder with a selection of grinding wheels, flapper wheels and cutting wheels. Indispensable.

First on my list would be a GOOD 2x72" grinder....it will be the most used tool in the shop. I also would say a good angle grinder, a welder, and a good drill press.

Emphasis on GOOD. Don't waste your money on a crappy powertool - drill presses which wobble, tool rests which are not square to the chuck, wandering drill bits because there's too much play in the press...AARGH! You're better off buying a used quality tool than a crappy made-in-China new one... Oh, and I have two belt grinders - saves on changing belts. When I got my new 2x72 I was going to get rid if the old one, but now I appreciate having two... But seriously, start out small and work your way up. You'll soon realize yourself what tools will be most useful to your style of knife making.
