Finding a maker's mark stamp company
Hi All
I'm looking for advice on the best company to craft my makers mark for me, since I don't have the equipment or steady hands required to do it myself. The stamp design needs to be 5/16" tall with three very tiny letters on it and hard enough to stamp the 1095 I'm working with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A maker's mark for stamping annealed steel is kind of expensive, but I know Damon a maker and engraver, I think he makes them. He's a contributor here. You can see his work and contact him by clicking on the envelope on Flickr.

If you havent already found a supplier, I would suggest Buckeye Engraving, I had a great experience with them. Plan on about $100 shipped. Wonderful product. Use a hydraulic press instead of a hammer- the stamp will last a good 30-50 years!
