Finished my first knife!
Well, today's the day! I finally finished a blade! Made out of 440c... this was a challenge for sure, but I'm fairly happy with the results, it being my first knife and all. It's not perfect, but it does cut stuff! On to the next! Also, thanks to everyone on the forum with more experience than I. This place is truly a wealth of knowledge.

Congrats! That looks very good for a first knife. You probably went fancier than you should have for a first knife but everyone seems to do that so you're not alone. Keep working on those grind lines and remember that if they won't co-operate you can raise them until you have a full flat grind. It just takes practice ...

One of the best first knives I've seen. Just work on those grind lines a bit and you're ahead of a lot of newbies already, assuming your heat treat is correct.
