Textured G10?

Been a long time since I've had this material. In the past when I wanted a "textured" finish I'd place them in the blast cabinet and spray it to get the texture. This particular set of scales is factory textured. After shaping I ground down the pin and did my usual blasting. The texture didn't match. Any tips on getting as near the factory texture on these?

All else fails I'm make them smooth but the goal was to maintain that factory textured result.

Update: Ground it smooth then turned down the air pressure on the compressor to about 50-55#'s. Held the handle scales a bit further back and gave it a few hits. The texture was there, not as deep as the original texture though sufficient enough.
