micarta to micarta bonding?
Hi All, I have a slight problem. I sanded my scales too short(not thin, short) so I need to add a spacer between the bolster and the scale. I plan to use a rather thick piece of micarta to fill the gap. My options seem to be glue/epoxy alone. Or maybe cut a slot into the material to make the bond stronger. I guess my post boils down to this. What glue/epoxy would you use to bond micarta? Prost, Morgan |

use the same epoxy you use to glue down the scales (not the 5-minute variety). You will find it works out better if you glue the two pieces of micarta together to make a single unit *before* attaching the slabs to the blade. |
